About

Bio:

A “daddy’s girl” at heart, my father’s weekend hikes at the South Mountain Reservation in New Jersey left an imprint on my career aspirations long before I knew it. Growing up in New Jersey and briefly working in community development further solidified my understanding of how inextricably linked environmental problems were to our everyday existence. This notion was further reinforced by studying urban and environmental planning at the University of Virginia, law at Vermont Law and environmental management at Yale. I joined NRDC in September of 2008. I am working on environmental law and policy primarily with respect to energy efficiency and renewables. One of the reasons that I am so excited about my work here is because it offers a unique opportunity to be collaborative with all industries and sectors in ways that promote real progress.

Roots in:
Virginia, New Jersey, Washington D.C., New England and now…New York!
Favorite place:
The jury is still out on this one -- so much left to see…
Why "environmentalism" matters:
Yes, I am guilty of loving clean air, water, trees, polar bears and whales. Yet, my conviction lies in my firm belief that every great institution changes with time. With respect to our energy policy in America and beyond -- simply put, we can do better.
