Bravo California!

Yesterday California's Attorney General filed a federal lawsuit to block the Bush Administration's last-minute regulations weakening the Endangered Species Act.  His action follows  separate lawsuits filed by NRDC, Earthjustice, and other conservation groups, also in California.  All of these cases will probably be consolidated before the same judge.  Having the Attorney General involved is a big boost to the litigation and underscores its importance.

This is great news, as it was unethical for the Bush administration to make such changes at the last minute, especially when they knew full well that the majority of the population would oppose them.
