Back in court for polar bears

Well, I don't know what they expected but NRDC and our allies at the Center for Biological Diversity and Greenpeace certainly weren't going let the Bush Administration get away with trying to avoid dealing with greenhouse gas pollution and destructive oil and gas development when it listed the polar bear as a threatened species last week. Especially when the "special rules" that the Administration used to try to do just that were issued without any public notice or opportunity for comment and without any of the prior environmental analysis required by law.
So we've headed back to federal court to challenge the rules under the Administrative Procedure Act and the National Environmental Policy Act, both of which prohibit just the kind of shenanigans the Bush Administration is trying to get away with.
